Valuation Ruling 1587/2022
In Valuation Ruling 1587/2022, Customs Values of Fresh Ginger (HS CODE 0910.1100) and Fresh Garlic (HS CODE 0703.2000) are determined under Section 25-A of the Customs Act, 1969.
Fresh Ginger Hs Code
Hs Code 0910.1200 will use for crushed or ground fresh Ginger and Hs Code 0910.1100 can be use for fresh ginger neither crushed nor ground.
Fresh Garlic Hs Code
Hs Code 0703.2000 will use for fresh garlic.
Customs Values of Fresh Ginger and Fresh Garlic
Earlier, the customs values of Fresh Ginger and Fresh Garlic were determined under Section 25A of the Customs Act, 1969 vide Valuation Ruling No.1486/2020 dated 13-11-2020. The Valuation Ruling was more than one year old and representations from various traders have been received in this office for revision of customs values in view of fresh market prices. In order to re-determine the import values of subject goods, an exercise was undertaken by the Directorate General of Customs Valuation in terms of Section 25A of Customs Act, 1969
Customs values hereinafter specified shall be assessed to duty/taxes at the following minimum Customs Values:-

Indonesia/Vietnam/Myanmar Origin
Customs Values:
0.80 C&F US$/Kg

Customs Values:
0.625 C&F US$/Kg

Fresh Garlic
China Origin
Customs Values:
1.20 C&F US$/Kg
