The proposal was presented to an Economic Coordination Committee, by the Ministry of Food and Security, which is a department of the government.

Why Exports of Live Animals are banned in Pakistan

The Ministry of Food and Security presented the proposal to an Economic Coordination Committee.

They said that if we are exporting live animals from Pakistan, the revenue we are getting against it is less in comparison if we process the meat and if we are sending it out, then the revenue we are getting against it is huge, there is a huge gap.

So they argued that it is better, we process the meat and export it, its price is also very good in the international market, so live animals should not be sent, a ban should be imposed on it, besides this, if we are sending processed meat so its by-products like hides, bones, blood, and fat are also beneficial.

So it gives double the benefit in comparison to selling meat and sending live animals directly.

These are the main reason the export of live animals is banned in Pakistan.

Hope you have got the answer to your question that why live animals are banned for export. Apart from this, there was a question, if the export of live animals is banned then how some people are sending their live animals to Afghanistan & Iran, The answer is simple, they are sending through smuggling which is illegal.
