Pakistan Sugar Mills Association and State Reserve of Tajikistan.
In a meeting between Rana Tanveer Hussain, Pakistan’s Minister for National Food Security and Research and Ahmadzoda Nurmuhamad Ato, Director of the State of Tajikistan, ways were discussed to improve trade and investment between the two countries.
Tolibov Muhammadjon, the head of the Department of International Cooperation was also there. Similarly, Agha Mullah Amounullah, representative from the logistics company ZFA General Trading were also present there. In that meeting, Saif Anjum, Secretary of the Ministry of Industries and Production were also present.
Besides, earlier the Economic Coordination Committee of Pakistan’s Cabinet has also allowed 40,000 metric tons of sugar exports to Tajikistan.
Both agreed to form a joint working group for enhancing trade relations and finding collaboration opportunities in food items. The two sides also discussed developing storage facilities at the borders and working towards making trade smoother.
Rana Tanveer said that Pakistan was willing to collaborate with Tajikistan in meeting its food requirements and further strengthening trade and investment ties between the two countries.
