ETEA begins merit-based recruitment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
As part of merit-based recruitment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency has introduced a fresh approach to this process. Over the weekend, it held a computer-based test for various job vacancies available at Water and Sanitation Services Peshawar.
Under this system, candidates received their test results immediately after completing the exam. This approach reduces the amount of manual intervention and increases the transparency and trustworthiness of the recruitment process. Many candidates expressed their satisfaction with the quick results and well-organized exam environment.
The questions were designed based on various positions like Manager (Admin & Accounts/Customer Care), Assistant Manager (HR & Admin), Assistant Manager (Accounts and Payments), Assistant Manager (MIS), HR Officer, Fleet Officer, and MIS Assistant. Question papers were distributed uniquely and randomly to every candidate so that there was no bias or partiality.
Executive Director ETEA, Adeel Saeed Safi, explained that computer-based tests signify ETEA’s intention to engage in fair and transparent recruitment. He further added that ETEA will undertake this system in all districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the future. Each candidate would then be able to sit at the nearest center for the test.
Once the new system is finally launched, all recruitment tests conducted by ETEA will be computerized, thereby making a fair deal for every candidate.
