FBR Suffers Rs. 166 Billion Gap in November Tax Collection
Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) collected Rs 837 billion in taxes in November 2024. It is, however, still lower than the set target of Rs 1,003 billion, causing a gap of Rs 166 billion.
Provisional. collection of taxes in November comes out to be Rs 837 billion, which may add up further as the actual figures are being compiled today, November 30.
FBR Revenue Collection in 2024-25
So far in the fiscal year of 2024-25, FBR has collected a total amount of Rs. 4,277 billion over the first five months. The target was set at Rs. 4,639 billion, which means that the FBR is lagging behind by Rs. 362 billion.
The deficit both in November and in the first five months points out the difficulties faced by the FBR in realizing the revenues for the fiscal year under consideration.
