What is Pakistan 's Customs Tariff ? and its Section Wise Details

    WHAT IS CUSTOM TARIFF?

The Customs Tariff is based on the World Customs Organization’s (WCO) Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System (HS).

    PAKISTAN’S CUSTOM TARIFF.

Pakistan ‘s Customs Tariff Play a very important role in the portion of the National Revenue. Almost all the items included under customs tariff are subject to custom duties that range from 0% to 30% In many cases.Even though, for the import of certain goods a sales tax of 16% is levied.(raw material, food and capital goods are not included under this tax). Alcohol is levied at a rate up to 65%, but can be as high of as 225%. All the rates were significantly lowered in the late 1990s from an average high of 30% in the early 1990s.
