Arrangements will be handled by SP Saddar Shehzad Khan. The overall arrangements will be supported by 13 DSPs and 203 traffic inspectors. A total of 110 patrolling officers, 999 traffic wardens, 10 forklifts, and 5 breakdown vehicles will be available for duty on the occasion to handle such a large number of participants.
For better control and to monitor the event, Raiwind has a special control room and camp office established. Only seven parking areas are available for participants and outsiders are not allowed onto the highway. Traffic congestion information will be available through updates on Rasta FM and the Rasta app.
Lahore’s Chief Technology Officer, Ammara Athar said the roads would be left open for ambulances, as well as emergency access for other vehicles. The traffic police would be vigilant enough to prevent any suspicious object or dumped luggage.
All the participant coming from GT Road had to be diverted via the Kala Shah Kaku Interchange on the motorway to Thokar Niaz Baig. While participants from Rawalpindi and Islamabad have been advised to take the motorway to reach Thokar Niaz Baig.
Those coming from Okara can use the Manga By-Pass. Those arriving members from Kasur are advised to use the Rout at Lalyani Sui Asal. Those coming from Bhatti Chowk will be diverted to park at Burhan Chowk from Bara Oil Mills Chowk.
Khawas Road and Sundar Road will be open for emergency vehicles only, and no entry will be allowed to the Raiwind rally from Shahdara Chowk, Saggian Bridge, and Bund Road. All those coming in from other provinces are advised to take the motorway along with Lahore Ring Road in order to have a soft journey.
