    Pakistan’s Trade Deficit Jumps 9% to $26 Billion in FY25

    Pakistan’s Trade Deficit Swells by 9% to $26 Billion in FY25

    Pakistan’s trade deficit has grown by 9%, up from $24.1 billion in FY24 to $26.3 billion in FY25, as per the new figures from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.

    Exports:
    Pakistan’s exports in FY25 stood at $32 billion, a 4.7% increase from $30.67 billion in FY24.

    Imports:
    Conversely, imports in FY25 increased by 6.6%, to $58.38 billion from $54.78 billion in FY24.

    Trade Deficit in June:
    For the month of June, exports were at $2.54 billion, down slightly by 0.6% from the same month last year and down 4.8% from the previous month of May.

    June imports amounted to $4.86 billion, which was a 2% drop from June last year and a 7.1% fall from May. Consequently, the June trade deficit was at $2.56 billion.
