KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has transferred some of the top officials in Pakistan Customs in a major administrative exercise. The five senior officers (BS-19 and BS-20) will assume new positions in Karachi, Hyderabad, Gadani, and Islamabad.

In terms of Notification No. 2267-C-I/2025 issued by the Revenue Division, the following transfers have been issued:

Mr. Naveed Illahi (BS-20) will join as Chief at FBR Headquarters in Islamabad instead of his earlier assignment as Collector at Customs Appraisement (West), Karachi.

Dr. Nasir Khan (BS-19) has shifted from his assignment as Collector (OPS) at Customs Enforcement in Gadani to the identical assignment in Hyderabad.

Syed Fazal Samad (BS-19) has changed his position from Chief (OPS) at FBR HQ to Collector (OPS) at Gadani Customs Enforcement.

Ms. Mona Mehfooz (BS-19) changes from Collector (OPS) at Hyderabad to Collector (OPS) at Customs Appraisement (West), Karachi.

Mr. Naveed-ur-Rehman (BS-19), erstwhile Secretary at FBR HQ, Islamabad, has been assigned as Additional Collector at Collector HQs-Enforcement, Islamabad.

The notification also adds that the performance allowance officers will keep getting performance allowances at their new assignments except those at FBR Headquarters. It has directed all officers to send in their charge relinquishment and assumption reports at FBR forthwith.

The reshuffle is signed by Secretary Muhammad Moazzam Raza and it’s just one of the many recent efforts being made by FBR to increase efficiency in operations and enforcement across the customs zones of the country.
