Khalid Mehmood Rajpar Appointed as Special Public Prosecutor for Customs Courts Karachi
KARACHI: Khalid Mehmood Rajpar, the senior-most lawyer on the customs panel, has been appointed as a special public prosecutor for special customs courts (customs, taxation, and anti-smuggling) Karachi. He will represent FBR in this role.
December 20, 2024 Federal Law & Justice Division Islamabad The letter, by reference number F.4/1/2016-LA (CUSTOMS) (Vol-II), confirms that the appointment has been officially agreed upon.
Appointments of such persons have also been made in Pakistan by adding their names to the list of Special Public Prosecutors with relevant departments under the FBR. Pakistan Customs authorities have now been instructed accordingly.
This appointment recognises. Mr. Rajpar’s extensive experience and expertise in customs law by giving. him the key role to handle. the matters.of significant import for Pakistan’s revenue system.
