ICCI Congratulates CDA on Introducing Digitized ‘One Window Facility’ to Better Public Services

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has taken a valuable step towards better public services by introducing a fully digital “One Window Facility” in Islamabad. The facility is aimed at facilitating processes so that citizens, as well as businesses, find it easier to get the services with ease and high-quality assistance.

The launch was made at a ceremony organized by the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI). The ceremony was attended by ICCI members, executives, and local entrepreneurs. During the session, the participants were provided with elaborate information about the characteristics and advantages of the new One Window Facility, marking an important milestone in the CDA’s modernization drive.

Nasir Mansoor Qureshi, ICCI President, appreciated the leadership of CDA for adopting digital services. He termed the opening of the One Window Facility as a “pioneering move” that will enhance public service delivery. He also informed that ICCI is also developing its progress in digital services, such as introducing a new mobile app to enable members to carry out Chamber-related activities from home. The app will be introduced in April.

President Qureshi underscored the need for sustained cooperation between the ICCI and CDA. He said that greater coordination will assist in addressing the issues of businesses and provide a more conducive environment for economic development in the capital city.

Abdul Rauf Khan, Director of One Window Operations with CDA, pointed out the Authority’s efforts towards upgrading Islamabad’s infrastructure and public services. He emphasized the need for all efforts to develop the city. Rashid Minhas, Deputy Director IT with CDA, described the facility’s main features, i.e., enabling users to monitor their applications and pay online.

ICCI Executive Member Sardar Tahir Mahmood appreciated CDA for the initiative, hoping that such initiatives would keep on contributing to Islamabad’s business community. ICCI Senior Vice President Abdul Rehman Siddiqui highlighted that closer coordination between CDA and ICCI would contribute to resolving business issues and propel economic growth.

The program also included a presentation of the digitization process of the One Window Facility with a Q&A session. The event was chaired by Mohammad Ishaq Sial, ICCI Executive Member, and the guests were welcomed by thanking CDA for realizing a long-time business community’s demand.

Renowned members of the ICCI, Vice President Nasir Mehmood Chaudhry, and former President Ejaz Abbasi, among others, attended the event as well.
