Banks to be Closed on July 1, 2025 on Bank Holiday
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has notified that all banks will be closed to public dealing on July 1, 2024 (Tuesday). The day is a bank holiday since it is the opening day of the new fiscal year 2025-26.

The bank holiday will hold for all banks, development finance institutions (DFIs), and microfinance banks (MFBs) in Pakistan.

But it is noted that bank staff, DFI employees, and MFB employees will report to their offices as regular on this day. The banks will not be open to customers, but office work inside will go on.

As per the official statement by SBP, “All banks, DFIs, and MFBs will remain closed for public dealing on the said date, but their staff will report to work as per regular schedules.”

This bank holiday is an annual practice that enables banks to accomplish required internal financial activities as a new fiscal year commences.
