Import Solar Product in Pakistan Without Customs Duty And Sales Tax:

Prime Minister approves Custom Duty on Solar Panels In Pakistan to promote alternate energy resources. The Federal Board of Revenue asked to issue necessary instructions or notification to relevant Customs Departments in this regard.

While chairing the fourth meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Energy here Tuesday, Dec 09, 2014 PM announced that import duty is lifted for import of Solar Panels to help the energy crisis in the country. He also announced that there will be no GST (General Sales Tax) on solar products and installation.

Solar Power Plants would help reduce the extraordinary load on the existing supply of power and reduction in load-shedding.

But FBR still not issue notification regarding the import of the Duty-Free Solar Product to the relevant Customs Collector or Department.
