The Federal Govt has announced a Public Holiday for Iqbal Day on November 9.
In an announcement issued earlier today, the Cabinet Division approved the national public holiday on Allama Iqbal Day. This announcement brings to an end the uncertainty around Iqbal’s festival. It should be noted that public holidays were canceled in 2015.
However, the government chose to bring it back last year. Moreover, the official list of public holidays for the year 2023, released in December last year, has already confirmed the inclusion of Iqbal Day as a public holiday.
