    Govt Declares Eid-ul-Fitr 2025 Holidays
The federal government has officially announced public holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr 2025. The holidays will be from Monday, March 31, through Wednesday, April 2, 2025, as per a notification issued by the Cabinet Division.

Eid-ul-Fitr Moon Sighting and Expected Date
Eid-ul-Fitr would probably be on March 31, 2025, since the Shawwal moon is going to be visible on Sunday, March 30. The Ruet-e-Hilal Research Council announced that the moon will be more than 26 hours old at sunset, so it would be very easy to see if the sky is clear.

To be certain of the sighting, the moon should be at least 18 hours old. As the time difference between sunset and moonset is above the required limit, experts think that Eid will be celebrated on March 31.

    Final Moon Sighting Announcement
The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will formally announce the Eid date after considering moon sighting reports from various parts of the country. If the crescent is visible on March 30, Eid-ul-Fitr festivities will start on March 31, 2025.
Stay tuned for the final announcement!
