Punjab Government to Inaugurate ‘Karobar Card’ Scheme for Smaller Businesses
The ‘Karobar Card’ scheme will be launched by the government of Punjab to provide ease for small businesses in that region. This decision came in a meeting in Lahore, which was presided over by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
Loans will range from Rs. 100,000 to Rs. 1 million. Along with this, the ‘Chief Minister Aasan Karabar Financing Scheme’ for medium-sized businesses has been launched by the government to offer a loan of up to Rs. 30 million to be repaid within five years.
The scheme would exclude certain areas like restaurants, but IT startup loans in Nawaz Sharif IT City will be the priority. He emphasized that the initiative seeks to improve employment and make the business and industrial sectors of Punjab stronger.
